What awaits us on the journey?
A place that has become our second home
We lived and worked in Iceland, actively communicated with the locals, which allowed us to plunge into the culture and customs of the country, to collect unique contacts of local farmers and artisans. We'll show you Iceland the way we love it

Only in this unique journey in just eight days we will see the wild nature of the island, visit protected places, feel all the "charms" of the northern weather, try the local cuisine, swim across the ocean, walk on lava, climb a volcano, walk on a glacier, watch birds and see more than 20 waterfalls.
where will the paths take us?
An island of volcanoes, glaciers and little horses
Harsh beauty

PROGRAM

1 DAY

We meet the group at the airport and drive to Reykjavik. Those who arrive earlier can take a longer walk around the city.

Reykjavik is a small but interesting city, unlike other world capitals. A very small historical center with wooden houses looks cozy and cute. The wide, stone embankment and unusual Scandinavian sculptures give the city a contrast. In our opinion, the most exciting activity will be the search for a variety of graffiti scattered throughout the streets of Reykjavik.

In the evening we have dinner together and get to know each other, discuss the trip plan, and analyze the most important points.

Overnight stay in Reykjavik
2 DAY
Reykjanes, lava fields and hot rivers of hveragerði
We are watching the Reykjanes peninsula, its hot, lively lands.

On this day we will touch the legends of Iceland. We will learn the terrible story of the Gunna, go through the hot breath of the earth and see the ocean, lava fields and black rocks.

We will follow the south coast, stopping at lookouts.
We will explore lava fields, take amazing pictures of the ocean, marvel at the strength and power of dark waves, and find the most beautiful lava stones - the best souvenirs possible.

We will have lunch at a coastal restaurant, try local cuisine, and enjoy the view of the ocean.

The second half of the day will be special. Iceland without hot springs is not Iceland. Therefore, we will go to the valley of the hot rivers Hveragerdi. A beautiful hike awaits us through colored hills and a geothermal area with geysers and bright clays, at the end of the path we will stop in a cozy place surrounded by high mountains. Here the hot rivers of the valley originate. The most interesting thing is that each of us will decide for himself where to swim, if you like hotter water, you can take a place upstream, where the hot stream connects with the cold, if you want to plunge into refreshing water - go down with the flow.

Bathing in natural springs always leaves a very pleasant impression, while thermal water relaxes the body and gives a good sleep.

Tired but happy, we went to bed.
3 DAY
Traveling on the golden circle of Iceland.
This day will be filled with natural wonders.

The first thing we will go to see will be the Kerið volcano crater, yes, yes, this is a real volcano crater, it is not big, but very picturesque. We will go around it in a circle and look inside.

Our next stop is Þingvellir National Park - the only UNESCO Site in Iceland. The park is located right between the European and North American tectonic plates and is famous for its natural beauty. This is the best place on the planet to see the edges of these two continents. The Icelandic Parliament, the oldest functioning parliament in the world, the Althingi, was founded here. He was in 930 AD. and continues to work in Reykjavik to this day.

After lunch, we will try to catch the huge Geysir geyser, which gave its name to all other similar phenomena on the planet :)

Now it mostly sleeps, but the nearby Strokkur geyser erupts about every 5 minutes. This spectacle is truly impressive. The land around is painted in different colors and hot springs are found at every step.

The fourth natural wonder of the day is the full-flowing and powerful Gullfoss waterfall. Gullfoss is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland. Its size and power are staggering. You can watch it from several viewing platforms.

After a busy day, we will go to the place of overnight stay.
DAY 4
Deep into the island. Bright day!
We start our morning with a walk to the valley of rivers and waterfalls.
The path will lead us through the northern forest, and we will find ourselves in the real world of water. Many streams cascade down from high cliffs and create a whole harmony of sounds - this is how Iceland sounds. We will take a photo, taste the most delicious water, and meditate a bit (if necessary).

Our next destination is Iceland's second largest waterfall (and also our favorite) - Háifoss. Yes, this place leaves a deep impression and amazes us with its scale. We will have a picnic with a view of the Grand Canyon, lunch in such a beautiful place is a special pleasure.

After lunch, we will go to the Landmannalaugar valley, where colored mountains and a bright crater with red sands are hidden from the eyes. We climb to the very top to see the Ljotipollur lake in all its glory and the famous colorful landscapes.

Happy and full of impressions, we go to the hotel to spend the night.
5 DAY
Glaciers and waterfalls
Exploring the south coast of Iceland! Can there be many waterfalls? On this day we will visit some beautiful waterfalls

We will see the famous black beaches with basalt columns Reynisfjara, and the sheer cliffs of Dyrholaey. Let's feel the salty drops of the ocean on our faces, let's try to lie down in the wind and stand above the abyss.

After lunch, we will touch the huge Sólheimajökull glacier, photograph the toothy rocks of Vika, where the Game of Thrones was filmed and end the day with a visit to the three breathtaking waterfalls Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss, Nauthúsagil
6 DAY
Island adventure
On this day, we will cross the ocean - a trip to the Vestmannaeyjar islands awaits us.

We will take a ferry and go to a group of islands, which not so long ago was covered with ashes almost to the very top. Here we will try to find Puffins. Puffins are a symbol of Iceland, so seeing them will be an important task.

Visiting Iceland and not climbing a volcano is not right, so after (hopefully) a successful photo hunt, we will have to climb Eldfell. despite the fact that the volcano erupted several decades ago, its crater is still warm.

The end of our visit to the islands will be a real lava cave, are you ready? Then go ahead. We will also look for real lava bombs :)

In the evening we will return to the main island and go to sleep.

7 DAY
Wild Wild West
We are going to see the southwest of Iceland - the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

Today there will be many bright emotions, because our day will begin with a visit to the Rotten Shark Family Museum, the most daring will try this strange Icelandic delicacy. We will see how this dish is prepared in practice and talk with people who have been catching sharks for generations.

We will see the famous Kirkjufell mountain and the famous Gatklettur bird colonies.
Then a real adventure awaits us: we make a mini-trek in the Rauðfeldsgjá gorge, where we will have to go through the water, climb through the rocks and overcome several sections using chains.

At the end of the day, we watch cute seals on the coast of Ytri Tunga. Ah, those deep black eyes.
8 DAY
Capital, blue lagoon and whales
We return to Reykjavik, walk around the city, buy souvenirs, send postcards to family and friends. On this day, you can go on a sea voyage to try your luck and find whales.

In the afternoon we will visit the most famous spa and thermal pools in Iceland - the blue lagoon.

In the evening we say goodbye to the northern island and fly home*

* The program of the last day depends on the return flights to your city.
