PROGRAM
DAY 1 Zurich and Rhine Falls
We leave Prague early in the morning. We're going to Switzerland. It will be one of the longest, but also incredibly beautiful roads. Part of the route runs along winding mountain roads! Our main goal is the Alps, so we have lunch on the way, enjoy the views from the car window and get to our first stop - Zurich. We walk around the city, look at the embankment, have lunch. We visit the magnificent Rhine Falls.
In the evening we move to the place of spending the night. We rest, get to know each other, tell stories :)
DAY 2 Ice adventure. Rosenlaui
On this day, we will go high into the mountains, where the water has frozen in the ever-blue ice massif. Glacier Gorge Rosenlaui is a UNESCO World Heritage list.
The Rosenlaui Valley is famous not only for its glaciers and mountain cirques, it is rich in incredible natural views
We will be in this valley all day long. We will make pictures, drink water from a mountain river and hit the road to our main goal.
A winding mountain path will lead us through a coniferous, cool forest and direct us along a stormy mountain river. All the way we will be accompanied by the roar of water and the ringing of alpine bells, which are carried by local charming sheep. At the end of the trip you will see a real blue glacier, look at the patterns that it leaves on the rocks, you will feel yourself a small part of this vast world
P.S. Lunch cooked on a campfire will add a special taste to the journey.
In the evening we will go to the place of our next overnight stay.
We will drink tea and discuss the beauty that we managed to see
DAY 3 Turquoise of Oeschinensee
We wake up early in the morning and go to Kandersteg
The lake is located at an altitude of 1600 meters, surrounded by steep cliffs, the snowy peaks of which are reflected in the turquoise water mirror, it seems to be drawn. The Oeschinensee has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007.
You will go up to the lake on electric cars (8 euros per person) and trekking will start at the top.
The route along the lake is incredibly beautiful: mountain paths, cliffs, steep slopes and green forests - all this leaves an unforgettable impression.
At the end of the route, everyone can try real fresh alpine milk :)
We dine on the shore of the lake. We make a fire, get comfortable and enjoy the beauty and clean air. It is proved that making food on a real Swiss grill will be especially tasty after a good walk in the mountains :)
The bravest will be able to swim)
We return to the apartments
DAY 4 Brienz-rothorn-bahn and Lauterbrunnen
Today you will travel on an old steam locomotive high into the mountains, where your eyes will see a panorama of many snowy peaks: two-thousanders and four-thousanders. This place makes the heart skip a beat with happiness, it is so beautiful there.
There you can drink coffee in a mountain restaurant and then take a picturesque walk along the ridge and go down back to the city of Brienz.
Closer to dinner, we will move to the city that once won Tolkien's heart - Lauterbrunnen (it is also called the valley of 70 waterfalls). Here the writer came up with how the city of elves - Rivendell - would look like. In the valley we will spend the rest of the day and in the evening we will go to the place where we will spend the night.
DAY 5 Trummelbachfelle waterfall, Grindelwald
In the morning we will again walk around Lauterbrunnen, drink delicious coffee with dessert and visit the impressive Trummelbachfelle waterfall - powerful and noisy, down from a great height in a rocky grotto hidden from the eyes. We will have lunch in another valley surrounded by high four-thousanders - we will go to Grindelwald.
We are waiting for a small but beautiful hike to the rocks and a waterfall and a walk around the city itself.
Toward evening we will go towards Zermat.
DAY 6 Riffelsee and Matterhorn
Zermatt is a city where there are no cars, govermant are doing everything to keep the purest mountain air in this area. We will leave the car in the parking in the town of Täsch and head to the mountaineering alma mater by train. We will spend the whole day in this eco-friendly place. Zermatt will be our starting point in the way to the foot of the Matterhorn, namely the Riffelsee lake.
This is one of our favorite places in Switzerland, we advise you to take a Tableron chocolate with you to take a picture against the backdrop of the famous mountain depicted on its wrapper)
We hope that the weather will be calm and we will be able to take the perfect photo with the reflection of this mighty mountain.
DAY 7 Way home
On this day we return to Prague, a long and picturesque journey awaits us)
