After landing on Socotra at Hadibo Airport, we will meet our local guides who will accompany us throughout the journey. The airport welcome will be smooth: we will assist with luggage and introduce you to the first steps that await us on the island.

After a light snack, we will head towards one of Socotra’s most scenic spots — Ditwa Lagoon, located on the western part of the island. This place, like a mirage, enchants with its beauty. The water here changes shades from turquoise to deep blue, and the colors of the water blend seamlessly with the surrounding nature, creating a magical effect. We will have lunch here and spend the rest of the day enjoying the views and atmosphere that captivate and set the tone for the adventure ahead.

We will have dinner with a view of the sea, watching the crimson sun sink into the waves.

From the small port of Kalansya we will set sail aboard typical local boats to get to know the island by observing it from the sea. Along the route that will take us to Qaban we will come across impressive cliffs that plunge into the sea interspersed with long white uninhabited beaches and surrounded by mangrove forests.

Having reached the fishing village of Qaban located in the western end, we will stop to spend the night staying in typical local houses.We will wake up in our camp and have a delicious breakfast, recharging our batteries for the day. After that, full of energy, we continue our journey.

From the small port of Qalansya, we will set off on traditional local boats to explore the island from the sea. On the way to Kaban, we will enjoy the views of the endless blue water, and perhaps we will be accompanied by dolphins smoothly gliding next to the boats. We will take many photos to capture this natural beauty.

Local guides will tell us about the features of Socotra, its culture and nature, immersing us in the atmosphere of this unique island.

Upon arrival in the fishing village of Kaban, located in the west of the island, we will have lunch from our cook and time to catch our breath. Having rested, we will continue to explore the surroundings. In the evening, after a busy day, we will have dinner and then overnight in atmospheric local houses.

Today we resume sailing from the eastern to the southern side in the company of groups of dolphins that follow our boats and a landscape that will leave us breathless with its
magic. The first stop will be at the interesting Neet salt pans. We will then continue sailing until we round the Disebrho cape, clearly recognizable by the impressive promontory after which a stretch of navigation begins along the southern coast made up of sandy beaches and small
fishing villages.
On the surface of the sea, groups of cormorants float before taking off. The navigation will end in Stero where our camp awaits us set up in the middle of the dunes that plunge into the sea. It will be an unforgettable night.

We will greet the sunrise atop one of the surrounding dunes, enjoying the first rays of sunlight and breathtaking views. After breakfast, we will head out to explore the heart of Socotra.

Our first stop will be Dogub Cave, located in the harsh landscape of Nogid. With its dry red plains and massive rocky hills, this area feels otherworldly. The unique terrain here borders the endless blue ocean, creating an incredible contrast.

After exploring the cave, we will continue to the Dixam Plateau in the Hajhir Mountains, located in the central part of the island. This region is home to the largest concentration of dragon blood trees, the ancient and mysterious flora of Socotra. At a designated site, we will set up our camp and enjoy lunch.

Following a short rest, we will embark on an exciting two-hour hike of moderate difficulty. The trail leads through rugged terrain, including gorges and slopes. This walk allows us to immerse ourselves in the island’s extraordinary nature, taking in its unique landscapes and peaceful surroundings.

In the evening, over dinner under the stars, we will share impressions of the day’s adventures. We will spend the night at our camp on the Diksam Plateau, surrounded by dragon blood trees and the magical ambiance of Socotra.

After breakfast at our camp, we will set off for Wadi Kalesan — an ancient riverbed that is mostly dry but still holds stunning pools scattered along its route.

The journey to Wadi Kalesan will be an adventure in itself: our skilled drivers will navigate a breathtaking descent from the plateau to the bottom, where the old riverbed winds its way through the landscape. Once we arrive, we will continue on foot, exploring the picturesque riverbanks. The hike, lasting about two hours, will take us over rocky terrain and include refreshing stops to swim and cool off in the natural pools.

Lunch will be served right by the river, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Afterward, we will begin our ascent back to the plateau, where we will discover a magical forest of dragon blood trees. Here, we will witness a breathtaking sunset, as the sky and trees glow in enchanting hues, marking the perfect end to an adventurous day.

In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at our camp on the plateau, enveloped by the mystical beauty of Socotra’s nature.

After breakfast, we will leave the center of Socotra and head toward the sea to witness some of the island’s most breathtaking landscapes. Our first stop will be the towering Arher Dunes. These majestic sand hills rise above emerald waters, offering unforgettable views. From their summits, we will enjoy a panorama that will leave us speechless.

Next, we will travel to the easternmost tip of the island — Ras Hersel, where the Indian Ocean meets the Arabian Sea. This is a place of raw natural beauty, where we can feel the power of the elements and take in the incredible scenery. In the evening, we will experience the sunset near the cliffs of Dishbro. As the sun sets, its golden light bathes the cliffs and sea, creating a magical and unforgettable sight.

Afterward, we will make our way to our camp, nestled on a secluded beach with pristine white sand. Here, we will enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars and spend the night surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

The final day of our amazing journey has arrived, filled with unforgettable emotions and experiences. But there is still one more magical spot to visit — a natural pool located at the top of one of the island’s many mountains. From here, you will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the island and the endless ocean stretching to the horizon.

After exploring and soaking in the views, we will have lunch in the shade of palm trees in a serene oasis, taking a moment to relax before the end of our journey.

In the afternoon, we will make our way back to Hadibo. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Yemeni restaurant, where you can savor local dishes and, of course, try the famous bread, considered one of the best in the world.

We will spend the final night in a hotel in Hadibo, resting and cherishing every moment of our adventure before heading home.

On this day we say goodbye to the amazing Socotra and return home.
