DAY 1 Svolvær, Kabelvåg and the Henningsvaer football field
We gather the whole group in Tromso. Those who arrive earlier can walk around the city longer.
Tromso is a large city in Northern Norway. It is also called the Paris of the North and the Gates of the Arctic; it is located 400 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. It is generally accepted that the name Tromso comes from the Norwegian Tromsøya - the name of the island on which the city is located, which means “strong current”. At the beginning of the 20th century, polar expeditions departed from Tromsø, and this is how the name “gate of the Arctic” appeared. In addition to the interesting northern architecture, the city will also delight you with the beauty of its surroundings. Here you will definitely feel like you are on the edge of the world.
In the evening we have dinner together and get to know each other, discuss the trip plan, and go over the most important points.
Overnight in Tromso
DAY 2 Reine and the hike to Reinebringen
The fishing village of Reine was named the most beautiful village in all of Norway by the Norwegian magazine Allers in the 1970s. Reine's image has been repeatedly used on the cover of tourist brochures and guidebooks. The tiny village, covering an area of 0.29 square kilometers, is located under the mountains around the fjord. The sea crashing against the coastal cliffs, colorful fishermen's houses on stilts and a cozy port. This place rightfully deserves our attention. Before lunch, we will walk along Reine, take photos, look into workshops and shops, drink coffee with a view of the fjord and have lunch in a small fisherman's restaurant.
Hundreds of stone steps will lead us to the very top, and the reward will be a breathtaking landscape. This observation deck is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. We will have time to enjoy the views, walk along the ridge and even tickle our nerves.
Hike to the Reinebringen wievpoint
After lunch we take our small backpacks, put on comfortable shoes and head to the most famous viewpoint of the Lofoten Islands. Hundreds of stone steps will lead us to a sharp peak, and the reward will be a breathtaking view of the fjord, mountains and small islands of the archipelago. Far below will be Reine and other villages, and the azure water will sparkle with a variety of shades of blue. We will have time to enjoy the views, walk along the ridge and take beautiful photos.
In the evening after dinner we will return to our cozy apartments.
DAY 3 Fjord Kayaking and the Village of Å
Being in Lofoten and not going on a kayaking trip is not about us. Today we will explore the fjord, look at the villages from the water, and appreciate the scale of the mountains, sailing to their very foot. We will have a cool instructor with us who will explain and show us everything, and captivate us with interesting stories about the local nature and customs. We will take cool photos and will feel like the discoverers of the Lofoten Islands.
After a delicious lunch in an authentic restaurant, where they serve the most delicious seafood pasta, we continue to explore the local atmospheric villages. On this day, an absolutely incredible town with the shortest name in the world "O" awaits us, the famous fishermen's houses - Rorbu. This entire town is an open-air museum, where you can learn how local fishermen survived in these harsh conditions, how their life was organized, from residential buildings to a forge, shipyard and post office.
DAY 4 Tropical beaches and a hike to the Kvalvik viewpoint
Did you know that the Lofoten Islands have beaches that are more like the beaches of the Caribbean: white sand, crystal clear azure water and stunning landscapes of mountains and fjords. These islands know how to surprise. We will visit the most beautiful of the local beaches, walk along the shore, take lots of photos, and the bravest will be able to swim, but we warn you, the water will be very refreshing and invigorating.
The unique landscape of Lofoten provides almost endless opportunities for hiking, and we will take a magnificent mountain hike, at the end of which one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the archipelago - Kvalvik awaits us. A summer afternoon on this beach with a blue sky above your head, azure waters of Haukland, and white sands will remind you more of a scene from the tropical islands of the South Pacific than the Norwegian landscape.
We will reach the observation deck, where you can take impressive photos
DAY 5 Horses, ocean and sauna on white beach
Our day is going to be incredible. Today we will continue to explore Lofoten and we will have two cool activities at once: we will ride horses and then relax in a sauna overlooking the ocean.
We have found special horses for you - the Icelandic breed - the cutest, most good-natured and ideal even for those who have never sat in the saddle. These miniature horses are pacers, meaning they have a very soft and comfortable step. We have worked with such horses in Iceland for a long time and know that this breed is ideal for walks in nature.
We will ride along the white beach along the ocean, ride at the foot of the mountains, and experience childish emotions and incredible happiness.
For those who do not want to ride, we will hold a photo shoot on the beach with horses, the place where the stable is located is incredibly beautiful.
After the horseback ride, it will be very useful to warm up your muscles. In the evening, a sauna with a panoramic view of the ocean and access to the beach awaits us, you can swim in the icy water and return to the warmth again.
After a delicious dinner, we will return to our cozy homes.
DAY 6 Forward to the open sea
Today is the final day of our tour, but no less interesting. Today we will go to the open sea on a traditional fishing boat with a real Norwegian captain. He will be happy to share his knowledge and fascinating stories about the fishing heritage of the village, tell about the customs inherent in these places.
The Lofoten Islands are famous all over the world for their abundant fishing grounds, the tradition of which dates back to the Viking Age, when dried fish became Norway's largest export product. You will have the opportunity to fish, or just enjoy the breathtaking views of the islands, under the noisy cries of restless snow-white seagulls. If we are lucky, we will be able to see eagles and even whales.
After the walk, we will go to a restaurant, where we will be served fresh seafood and other local dishes. We will walk around the open-air museum, buy souvenirs, look into an art gallery and in the afternoon we will go to Narvik.
