- We will wake up early, have breakfast and drive to the mountain car park in the Kapruner Tal valley, which is cut into the schist massif of the Hohe Tauern mountain range. These mountains are the highest mountain range in Austria.
We will leave the car at the parking lot and transfer to buses that will take us to the first site, where we will change transport to a very unusual lift - a cargo cable car. Then another bus will take us to our starting point - the dam - Moserboden.
Two mountain dams were built in this part of the valley, they were built during 1947-1955. for the production of electricity.
Below, Wasserfallboden lies at an altitude of 1672 m above sea level, we will see it along the way. Its wall reaches a height of 120 m and a width of 357 m.
And the second dam - Moserboden - is located at an altitude of 2036 m above sea level - it is our main goal.
After admiring the dams and taking beautiful photographs, we will move forward. Our trail will go along the reservoir, right along the rocky slope. We will see many waterfalls, admire the already autumn colors of mountain plants, colorfully taming rocky cliffs.
On this journey we will see waterfalls, rocks, snowfields and a huge glacier. We will hear how marmots whistle, if we are lucky we will see these funny mountain dwellers. We will overcome an obstacle made of huge stones and at the end of the path we will climb a pass from which we will have a view of a motley valley and a blue glacier.
This is a real mountain adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Closer to lunch, we will return to the starting point, go down by buses and cable car and head towards Prague.
Estimated time of return to the city - 23:00
