During the six days of our journey, you will visit the top of Mount Seceda, pass at the foot of the Three Peaks, see real mountain lakes in the water of which giant rocks are reflected. You will be teleport to Switzerland, Canada and America - the Dolomites are so different...
We hope you are a little intrigued and ready to read the details of the tour and the program :)
Early in the morning we leave Milan and go to one of the most famous lakes in Italy - Garda.
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy (370 km2). Three regions come to its shores: Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino - Alto Adige. What makes this place special is the mixture of traditions. We go to Garda not only for the stunning nature, but also for the delicious food, local drinks such as Limoncello, and the cozy streets of the surrounding towns.
Believe me, even we are breathtaking in Garda from the alpine landscapes, very clean and transparent water in the north of the lake and sandy or pebble beaches among completely Mediterranean vineyards, olive and lemon groves in the south of the lake.
We will walk all day, enjoy the views, delicious food, visit the cozy town of Limone sul Garda, where you can try real limoncello.
In the evening we will move to our hotel closer to the Dolomites.
2 DAY Easy trekking around the Geisler Odle group and the most beautiful view of the Dolomites, the Church of St. Magdalena
After breakfast, we head to the mountains.
An easy trek awaits us at the foot of one of the most beautiful groups of the Dolomites - Geisler Odle. As always in Italy, our main goal will be a mountain hut - restaurant :) Here we will have lunch with an incredible view of the rocks and green hills. We will try the local cuisine, which is hard not to fall in love with, take great photos and begin the descent down.
Distance: 9 km Difficulty: easy
We will dedicate the second half of the day to the cozy village of Santa Magdalena. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the very essence of farm life: we will walk along narrow streets, watch animals, such as cows, goats, and sheep, take many photos with atmospheric alpine wooden houses, and, of course, visit the most beautiful viewing platforms, which offer magical views of the mountains, the village itself, and the Church of Santa Magdalena.
We will have dinner at a local restaurant and try polenta, grilled meat, and local wine. In the evening we will move to our hotel, where we will spend the night.
3 DAY Seceda
We cannot visit the Dolomites and not see the most famous view on Mount Seceda.
The second day will be devoted to climbing Mount Seceda and a circular route along its green plateau. Get ready for charming views, this day will be remembered by you for a long time, as the route is really discouraging with its beauty.
Distance: 14 km Difficulty: Moderate
4 DAY VIEWPOINT Cadini Di Misurina & Tre Cime di Lavaredo
Today we will do one of the most spectacular hikes in the Dolomites!
The Cadini Di Misurina Viewpoint and Tre Cime di Lavaredo have dazzled many travelers with their beauty for centuries. In our opinion, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop trail is the best day hike in the Italian Dolomites. It simply outshines all the others due to its accessibility and sensational landscapes.
Tre Cime di Lavaredo is the name given to three huge peaks in the Sesto/Sexten Dolomites. These three peaks symbolize the region and why so many people come to this corner of Northern Italy in the summer.
We will take a large circular route, have lunch in the mountains in a charming hut with a view of the Dolomites
We will do a short trek (about 2 hours) to the Cadini Di Misurina viewpoint to admire the grandiose cliffs.
Distance: 13 km Difficulty: Suitable for beginners, medium activity
5 DAY Lago di Sorapiss
Our goal for this day is Lago Sorapiss. We will climb to the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites with milky blue water. This is one of the most unusual lakes in the world and Europe. You can only get there on foot, so we will have a medium-difficulty hike, lasting about 2-3 hours one way.
Sorapiss is surrounded by a mountain cirque, sharp peaks of rocks pierce the azure sky and are reflected in the motionless surface of this unique lake. At the top there is a small mountain hut where they serve simple food, but this is the place that brings you closest to real mountain life, the way it should be, without excessive comfort but with absolutely crazy views and natural beauty.
We will devote the whole day to Lake Sorapiss, and in the evening we will go to the hotel, where you can warm up in the sauna and relax after an active hike.
Distance: 14 km Difficulty: Suitable for beginners, medium activity
6 DAY Lago di Braies
Lago di Braies is perhaps the most famous lake in the Dolomites. It needs no introduction and is the hallmark of this magical region. We will go to the lake early in the morning to enjoy its beauty without a crowd of tourists. In autumn the water has a deeper color and the trees around are very colorful. Braies Lake will be a beautiful end to our trip.
