AMAZING JOURNEY to Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego

ARGENTINA+CHILE

We are all children of Captain Grant! "Thank you Jules Verne for the dream you gave us, thank you world for making it is real." For the first time we heard about Patagonia in childhood and this place seemed somehow fantastic and distant, and the adventures that the heroes of the book went through inspired us to travel and, perhaps, became the main landmark in our lives, leading us to where we are now - on the road of adventure.

Patagonia is the territory of Chile and Argentina, an incredibly beautiful land that attracts travelers from all over the world. Here you will find majestic mountains reaching into the azure sky and endless giant glaciers - the only ones in the world that do not melt, but grow, incredibly beautiful lakes, you will meet funny guanacas and penguins. Here your dreams can come true and new ones can appear.

We are going to Patagonia in autumn, when the colours are already becoming fantastic and unreal, the number of tourists is decreasing, and the trails are freer, but at the same time the weather still spoils us with warm and long daylight hours.

There is a lot of beauty and amazing emotions waiting for us on this journey, if you are ready to go on the most exciting adventure in your life, feel free to check the program
Travel to Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the grand adventure begins right now!

PROGRAM
DAY 1
Arrival to El Calafate
We meet the group in El Calafate. If you arrive in the first half of the day, we have time to walk around and enjoy Argentine cuisine. We can also visit a natural park where a colony of pink flamingos lives.

In the evening we move to Puerto Natales (CHILE!) where we will spend a few days exploring one of the most grandiose natural parks Torres Del Paine
DAY 2 - CHILE
Torres del Paine Park
Mirador Base Las Torres
Today we begin our exploration of the Torres del Paine National Park, named after the three magnificent Torres towers. In a few days, we will complete the famous W-track, we will not spend the night in tents but in comfortable accommodation in the city of Puerto Natales.

When you heard about Torres del Paine, you undoubtedly remembered the photos of the most famous place in the park - the observation deck at the foot of the towers. Our goal today is precisely this view from the shore of the turquoise lake. An incredibly beautiful nature trail awaits us, combining a variety of natural landscapes. You can get to the lake at the foot of the towers in 8 hours (there and back). We will leave early in the morning to avoid crowds on the trail. Despite the fact that we will be going at the end of the season, it is worthwhile to play it safe.

Track length 24 km
Difficulty Moderate
DAY 3 - CHILE
Glacier Grey
The Grey Glacier Viewpoint is located next to a beautiful forest and offers a fantastic panorama of the steep blue walls of the most famous glacier in the region, which is 6 kilometers wide and about 28 kilometers long.

This time we will go to the park by an alternative route - we will cross the glacier lagoon by boat, enjoying the views of Grey from the water. Afterwards we will take a wonderful hike along the glacier, which will also be filled with fantastic views and incredible colors of the approaching Patagonian autumn.

Length 15 km
Difficulty Easy / Moderate
Day 4 - CHILE / ARGENTINA

Mirador Cuernos, Laguna Azul, cute guanacos and the best viewpoints of Torres Del Paine
We will dedicate the day to new breathtaking views, we hope we will not have an overdose of beauty.
We will take a route to one of the main viewpoints of the park - Mirador Cuernos, here the rocks will appear before us from a new perspective. Along the way we will come across several beautiful waterfalls Salto Grande and Cascada Paine. Then we will head to Laguna Azul.

Laguna Azul is a beautiful lagoon located in the eastern part of the Torres del Paine National Park. This is the first place visited by Lady Florence Dixie, the first tourist to visit the park in 1879. This British explorer actually published a drawing of this landscape in her book "Through Patagonia", where she mentions that the towers are "Cleopatra's needles".

And it is true that Laguna Azul offers absolutely magical views of the granite towers, especially if you hike to the Sierra Masle viewpoint, which is just an hour's walk from the official Laguna Azul parking lot.

In the evening we move to El Calafate - Argentina
DAY 5 - ARGENTINA
Perito Moreno Glacier
We will dedicate the whole day today to the most beautiful glacier in the world - Perito Moreno, the only glacier on the planet that does not decrease, but grows. Perito Moreno is located in the Los Glaciares National Park. We will look at this ice giant from different sides and platforms, we will listen to its guttural, dull crack and wait for the next blue block to break off and noisily fall into the transparent blue water. Only in this park you can watch how pieces of ice, the size of a five-story building, crumble into fragments and raise waves, like huge icebergs.

Our day will be filled with a variety of emotions and sensations, we will feel like tiny parts of a great and changeable world, we will experience childish delight, a deep sense of joy and even melancholy. It would seem that at first glance, ordinary frozen water can affect our feelings and emotions.

We will also sail along the lagoon on a boat to see the beauty of the ice walls from the water. As you get closer to Perito Moreno, you feel the cold breath of this silent giant more acutely.

In the evening, we move to El Chalten, a lovely tourist town with craft bars and cozy restaurants against the backdrop of the dramatic Fitz Roy mountain range. Here we will be offered local Argentinean food, and meat lovers will be able to try the most delicious grilled beef asado.
DAY 6 - ARGENTINA
Fitzroy
Wake up early and after a delicious breakfast set off on a hike to three mountain lagoons located at the foot of the Fitz Roy massif.

From start to finish, the hike up Mount Fitz Roy is filled with incredible scenery. There are breathtaking views of the river valley, mountain panoramas, shady forests and sparkling lakes. Our trail will wind through shady, magical forest, cross wild rivers and then rush up the rocky landscape right onto a stone plateau. The highlight of the hike will be the view of the glacier-capped Fitz Roy, one of the most recognizable mountains in Patagonia, towering over Laguna de los Tres, a turquoise lake at its base. The view is a stunning reward for the long and sometimes difficult hike up Fitz Roy.

We spend the night in El Chalten

Length 22 km
Difficulty moderate
DAY 7 - ARGENTINA
Hiking to Cerro Torre
Cerro Torre (3128 meters) is a majestic peak and one of the main symbols of Patagonia, located on the border of Argentina and Chile.
This hike can also be considered one of the most epic in Patagonia. It opens up other facets of the Los Glaciares Natural Park for us, first of all, we will see the magnificent peak of Cerro Torre, whose name translates as a mountain tower, or Needle, and secondly, an incredible glacier spread out at the foot of this unusual mountain.

The route to Cerro Torre is a little shorter in mileage than the hike to Mount Fitz Roy, but no less rich in views and breathtaking panoramas.

Length 19 km
Route difficulty Easy-medium
DAY 8
Tierra del Fuego
Breakfast and farewell to cozy El Chalten.
Today we are going to the end of the world - Tierra del Fuego - Tierra del Fuego.
We move to El Calafate and fly to Tierra del Fuego in Ushuaia.

Today we are going to have a very ordinary day in the southernmost city in the world. We will have a snack in the southernmost cafe, see the southernmost crossroad, walk along the southernmost streets and even be able to send the southernmost postcard from the southernmost city in the southernmost post office :)

Night in the southernmost hotel
DAY 9 - TIERRA DEL FUEGO
Penguins, Bridges Island and the world's southernmost lighthouse
Today you will have the opportunity to go on a real sea voyage, see incredible mountain peaks from the water, watch birds, seals and visit the cutest inhabitants of these lands - penguins. A cozy ship will pass through the channel with the funny name Beagle and will moor at Martillo Island, where large colonies of penguins are located. We will also be able to see a very atmospheric lighthouse, which is considered the southernmost lighthouse in the world.
DAY 10 - TIERRA DEL FUEGO
Hike to Laguna Esmeralda
Our tour will end with a pleasant walk through the northern nature of the Ushuaia Peninsula.

The hike to Laguna Esmeralda is very beautiful and combines all types of northern landscapes, and at the end of the route we will see a grandiose mountain cirque and a lovely green-blue lake. If we are lucky with the weather, then at this time the famous autumn colors should already appear, bright red foliage and colorful herbs.

In the evening, a plane to Buenos Aires will be waiting for us.

This is where our journey through Patagonia ends, but this does not mean that we are saying goodbye forever :)
